NoEX is short for No Explanation Productions LLC., the parent company behind all of the NoEX Brands. However the name has evolved into many things around here from no excuses to just noex meaning to never give up on anything we do. Either way the goal is simple and clear. We are bent on changing the music industry. A group of music and related industry veterans have come together to say "why not" to the common sense questions facing the music business. Why can't the artists retain their music rights? Why can't the artist and label both make money? Why can't you utilize new media and methods for distributing music?

Jay Burton - Founder/CEO - Jay comes from a background that includes music promotion, record label operations and distribution, artist management, recruiting, marketing, and has started several innovative companies based in technology such as NascarCareers.com, GotResumes.com, EZCruit Software, Clearprizm Corp. and many others. Mr. Burton has also been featured in many magazine, internet and television interviews as an expert in the fields of recruiting, marketing, and developing technology.
Camden Unglesbee - Director of Label Development - Camden brings to the label a life time of experience in successful bands, an unmatchable charisma and energy, and a true understanding of the evolving music industry. His experience with bands such as Group36 and Rival Factions has left him with contacts around the world. Camden is also a top ranked DC stylist at the famous Bang Salon and is currently filming a reality TV show title Complicated Order in DC.
Drew Burton - VP A&R Southeast - Not only is Drew Jay's brother, but he has a wealth of experience on his own in bar and venue management, promotions, and marketing. A graduate of UNCC, Drew has had great success in the nite club and promotions market of Charlotte NC. Drew works with promotions and booking in the Southeast as well as talent scouting.
